The taxis

Avoid the taxi the morning until 11:00 and between 16:00 and 20:00 because the streets are congested. Take the subway, simpler, cheaper and very fast.
Price shopping: the meter (meter) displays the fare and one of three letters: A, B or C. If you are in central Paris or turns on, the A rate applies from the day 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the B rate during the night until 6:00 am. When you leave Paris intra-muros, the driver will turn on the B rate during the day, and the C rate from 20.00. Far from Paris, the C rate always applies.
Do not try to catch a taxi on the street if you are within 100 meters from train station: Taxis can not load passengers near a station, they must necessarily go to the head station the station itself. So stay away from the station, or go to the taxi from the station.
During the period of exhibitions, events ... book your taxi the day before.
Single rate to call a terminal in Paris: +33 (0)1 45 30 30 30.

It remains to follow the instructions on the terminal and choose the bike. You can drop it off at any station, remote from each other about 300m. If there would be more room, you will get an additional 15 minutes to get to another terminal by "beeping" your ticket.
For whom? The system is open to all, from 14 years (the bikes are mixed). Foreign visitors will have access to the information terminal with a translation into eight languages. There is no baby seat.
How much? The Velib day ticket is 1 euro, that of seven days to 5 euros. The first half hour is free. Second, the pricing is done by half an hour. For an extra half hour, count 1 euro for the second, two euros. From the third, it will cost 4 euros per half hour. Is adjusted how? Please have your credit card to obtain a ticket directly to a terminal. The account will be debited according to the chosen subscription and time passing if necessary.
