Paris parks and gardens are famed throughout the world. After all, the city boasts over 400 of them, which may well make Paris the greenest capital in Europe. From ultramodern oases of greenery and bold design to traditional parks dating back generations, Paris boasts a wide array and diversity of green spaces for every taste. At the Hotel Beaugrenelle Tour Eiffel , you will be within easy reach of a selection of the finest, which we heartily recommend.

Paris parks and gardens : a delight for all visitors

The Champs de Mars must surely boast the most spectacularly impressive garden ornament of all; the Eiffel Tower! Formerly a military training ground, hence the name, this is where you can enjoy the fireworks displayed on Bastille Day. A wonderful spot for a picnic, especially bearing in mind the fantastic view of the foremost Paris landmark. The Trocadero Gardens are also overlooked by the same monument, and have many fine sculptures and the sparkling, cascading jets of the lovely Fountains of Varsovie. A most refreshing place to spend a sunny afternoon.

The Jardin d'Acclimatation is the perfect place to take the children. Here is an amusement park, zoo, house of mirrors, mini-golf course, narrow gauge railway, puppet theatre, and the Exploradome interactive science museum.

Georges Brassens Park, named after the late singer/songwriter and poet, who lived in the vicinity, is built on the slope of a hill and is criss-crossed with delightful walking trails. This is a quiet and reflective place to relax, with its clock tower and belfry, pond and fountain, a vineyard and an apiary.

Should your tastes run to the more cutting edge, then you might try the Andre Citroen Park, with its striking and bold modern and post-modern designs. A marvellous green area where once a car factory stood.
