The Film Festival on the Champs Elysees is the perfect event for movies lovers. This 3rd edition of the Film Festival begins on the 11th June until the 17th. The festival is situated on the Champs Elysees, which is recognised as being one of the world's most charming avenues. An eclectic selection of movies, screening at the festival, will consist of American and French films, directed and produced by talented independent film-makers.
You'll see various American unreleased independent feature films, all competing for the Audience Prize and Prize of the Bloggers awards, during the festival. You'll also be treated to an array of African American films, which are in fact the main highlight of this year's film festival. Filmmakers from film schools have also been invited to take part in the festival, to compete with 35 American and French short films.
Classic restored French Cinema will be included in the Film Festival on Champs Elysees, with a special dedication to Henri Langlois and American restored classics, courtesy of TCM Cinema, also feature. Children cinema is also included, with the Young Audience presentation, featuring a selection of beautiful animated movies and other wonderful surprises.
Judges include Bertrand Tavernier and Jacqueline Bisset and interviews and master classes feature an impressive line-up, with talented artists, like Mike Figgis, Whit Stillman, Agnes Varda and Keanu Reeves attending. This year's film event will no doubt be exceptional.
