Agricultural show Paris 2014 is one of the highlights of the year in the French capital, bringing all the joys of the countryside into town, and within easy reach of your ideal base, the Hotel Beaugrenelle Tour Eiffel.
Everyone knows that France prides itself on being one of the world's finest food producers. At Paris Expo at the Porte de Versailles from Saturday 22 February to Sunday 2 March, you will have the opportunity to see the cream of the countryside in the heart of Paris.
The Paris International Agricultural Show is one of the longest-running and largest of its kind in the world, with more than 1,000 exhibitors and several thousand animals. It's a time for farmers themselves to buy and sell produce and livestock. For the casual visitor, it's a unique opportunity to explore an important part of French culture. There are demonstrations of some of the traditions of the countryside, from hunting and fishing to organic agriculture.
Food-lovers will be in their element, keen gardeners will pick up essential tips from the professionals and children will love seeing farm animals, many of them prize specimens. This is a truly French occasion, a world apart from the ordinary tourist attractions of Paris, so much so that almost 700,000 people attended the 2013 show.
The venue, Paris Expo at Porte de Versailles, is an easy 10 minute journey by taxi from our hotel, or a 20 minute journey on the Metro. All of us at Hotel Beaugrenelle Tour Eiffel look forward to welcoming you at our comfortable, intimate hotel when you visit the Paris International Agricultural Show. We're happy to advise on the best times to visit, and the most efficient ways to travel to and from the exhibition centre, and we always guarantee a most enjoyable stay.
